Eilidh McSherry explains why businesses in the energy sector are more exposed than ever before to committing economic crime offences through the actions of senior managers, including under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, to understand the practical implications and highlights tips organisations can use to manage associated risks. 

Session 5 - Choosing the right construction contract for your energy project

From FIDIC Yellow to IChemE Blue, from JCT Minor Works to NEC Target Cost, the range of possibilities around contract selection for energy projects can be overwhelming. Making the wrong choice can lead to risk and uncertainty. Wenzhuo Xia and David Sharkey demystify this landscape by providing clear, practical analysis of the leading contract forms. They’ll guide you through the pros and cons for each, ensuring you can make informed decisions that align with your project's goals.

Session 6 - What’s new in energy consenting?

Hazel Noble and Colin Dalgarno will explain the latest changes to the consenting regime and policy in Scotland and the impact these could have on renewable energy projects going forward.
