Lawyers like data. So here are the numbers:
- We have over 480 people.
- We operate from three offices.
- This year we have worked on over £100bn of deals in more than 60 jurisdictions.
And we have one goal. To be the Best Scottish Law Firm in the World.
But it's not the numbers that make us special.
Don't take it from us. Take it from our clients.
Corporate Social Responsibility
To us, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not simply a box to tick. Our drive to share, support and improve is just one part of our overall commitments to be a firm – and individuals - with an ethical approach to everything we do. Whether that’s within the business, within communities or within our environment.
The Burness Paull Foundation:
2015 saw the launch of the Burness Paull Foundation, the focus of the firm’s CSR activities going forward. The Foundation supports both firm initiatives such as the recent Macmillan Turn Up In Tartan day and also the individual efforts and initiatives of employees of the firm, making financial awards to help them fundraise for worthwhile causes of their choice. Trustees from across the firm administer the Foundation, and applications for grants have already been received.
Pro Bono Advice – many of our lawyers provide pro bono advice, donating their legal skills to help both individuals and organisations in need of legal representation which they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford.
Environmental issues are recognised universally as a challenge. We have a number of office policies and procedures which are designed to make our operations as environmentally friendly as possible. We actively encourage all employees to play their part in minimising the environmental impact of our offices and our business.
