Burness Paull is a full-service independent Scottish commercial law firm focused on employing and working with the best people to deliver a consistently high-quality service to clients.

Our independence is important to us because it gives us the license to support our clients and our people in ways that they genuinely value.

Clients want and, from us, they get the very best legal advice - but they also want that advice delivered by people with their feet on the ground who understand the context in which their recommendations are being applied.

For our people it means a culture where they can be themselves and perform at their best. An environment where genuine advice and relationships are championed. It sounds like a pretty simple recipe but striking that “human and high-performing” balance is very demanding and we work incredibly hard to maintain it.

We are the sole UK member of the Lex Mundi network, which cements our ‘beyond Scotland’ perspective - but in truth the foundations were put in place well before we gained membership through our in-house international desks.
