Louise McErlean covers the law on lobbying, and the strategic considerations for engaging with public decision-makers. This session includes top tips for effective engagement, in order to influence policy, and build constructive relationships with elected officials, as well as navigating decision-making processes effectively. 

Session 3 - An introduction to project finance in a renewable energy project

Kendall Allan and Dornie Burnett provide an overview of the structure of a project finance transaction, including who the key parties are, and typical documentation required.  They highlight the different stages of a transaction and key considerations to be aware of.

Session 4 - Corporate criminal liability (economic crime): managing management risks

Eilidh McSherry explains why businesses in the energy sector are more exposed than ever before to committing economic crime offences through the actions of senior managers, including under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, to understand the practical implications and highlights tips organisations can use to manage associated risks.
