The Burness Paull Foundation is proud to sponsor the Team Scotland men’s and women’s teams taking part in the first Street Soccer Nations Cup, being held this September in Dundee.

Bringing together teams from street football organisations around the world, the tournament will see players from Street Soccer Scotland compete against line-ups from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Sweden, Ivory Coast and Afghanistan over the weekend of Friday 9th to Sunday 11th September.

Street Soccer Scotland brings about positive change for socially disadvantaged groups across Scotland through football-themed training and personal development opportunities, with programmes aimed at both adult and youth players. Everyone is welcome at all sessions with an additional programme, Street 45, structured to appeal to female players. Street Soccer Scotland is also national partner to the Homeless World Cup, putting forward the teams to represent Scotland.

Burness Paull has been a longstanding partner of Street Soccer Scotland for a number of years, providing financial support through the Burness Paull Foundation as well as teaming up to host joint football tournaments, Business Club networking events, and employees volunteering at training sessions and fundraisers.

David Duke, CEO of Street Soccer Scotland said: “We’re really pleased to have the Burness Paull Foundation on our shirts again as we head into the Nations Cup. Events like this can be life changing experiences for our players, giving them a unique opportunity to meet and connect with others from across the world while representing their country. They also allow us as an organisation to highlight what we do, the power of community and the impact this can have on creating change, and we couldn’t do this without the support of partners like Burness Paull who believe in our work.”

Peter Lawson, Chair at Burness Paull said: “It’s fantastic to see the players at Street Soccer Scotland taking part in tournaments of this type again, inspiring us all with their strength in overcoming the challenges they’ve faced, hope in looking to the future and friendship as they welcome players from across the world.

“Women’s football has had the spotlight shone on it this summer and it’s going to be no different in Dundee, which is really exciting.

“Connecting with the communities we live and work in is central to who we are as a firm. We’ve long been behind Street Soccer’s Team Scotland as they’ve taken part in the Homeless World Cup and last year’s Home Nations Cup, and everyone at Burness Paull wishes them all the best as they take on this new challenge. We’ll be there cheering them on.”
