Sophia is a senior associate and employed barrister in our Dispute Resolution team working in both our financial disputes practice and also our contentious insolvency practice. Sophia is dual qualified as a barrister in England & Wales and Scottish solicitor and notary public. She practiced in London and worked offshore as a lawyer for a number of years in Guernsey and later the Cayman Islands where she was admitted as an attorney-at-law.
She has a wealth of experience across these jurisdictions and in particular in England and Scotland dealing with corporate and company law disputes, contentious corporate transactional matters and banking and financial service litigation including shareholder activism. She also has significant experience in corporate insolvency law and enforcement actions in both England and Scotland. During her career she has acted regularly in matters before the Royal Court of Guernsey, the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands, the English High Court and the Sheriff Courts and Court of Session in Scotland.
Sophia sits on the R3 Technical Committee for the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and frequently attends events regarding contentious and non-contentious insolvency.
