Fiona is a director in our Private Client division. Fiona provides legal advice to private individuals, families, employers, companies, trustees and executors on a wide range of matters, including succession and estate planning, Wills and Powers of Attorney, executries and estate administration, charities, tax planning and trusts. Fiona has insight and awareness of both individual and commercial perspectives of private client matters, and has extensive experience in dealing with wide ranging issues in the field of trusts and estates, including complex and high value matters.

Fiona is a full member (TEP - Trust & Estate Practitioner) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having been awarded the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland) with distinction. Fiona was a prize-winner at the STEP Excellence Awards in 2012 and 2013, including the award for STEP Outstanding Student of the Year for Scotland 2012 / 2013. Fiona has also completed the STEP Certificate in Trusts and Estates (England and Wales), achieving the highest mark worldwide for the course at the November 2015 sitting and being recognised by STEP Worldwide in the 2016 Worldwide Excellence Awards.

Fiona is ranked as an ‘Associate to Watch’ in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2018. The guide recognises that Fiona “can engage and make clients feel comfortable discussing problems with family dynamics and inheritance-related issues with her". Fiona is commended as “very professional and intelligent", “conscientious and efficient" and "very knowledgeable about trusts".
