Alasdair is head of the firm’s Planning team. He advises clients in both the public and private sectors on a range of issues, including major development and renewable energy.
As a former Advocate, Alasdair has a strong track record of providing key advice and representation on contentious and strategically important planning matters. He has represented clients at hearings and public inquiries, and in court at all levels, including the Supreme Court.
Alasdair also has extensive experience as a lawyer of compulsory purchase – acting for acquiring authorities and landowners – including representing clients at the Lands Tribunal in relation to claims for compensation.
