Sophie is a director in our Banking & Finance team. Her particular specialisms include advising funders and borrowers in relation to debt and security structures relating to a range of asset classes with a particular focus on renewable energy and infrastructure finance.

She has significant experience in renewables financing across all mainstream technologies including onshore and offshore wind, battery storage, solar and hydro. She also advises on financings involving new and emerging technology including wave and tidal power.

Sophie has proven ability in leading and project managing multi-disciplinary specialist teams on domestic and cross border transactions and is focussed, pragmatic and committed to achieving the best result for the client on each deal.
 
Sophie is part of the top ranked Burness Paull Banking & Finance team in both Chambers and Legal 500. She is ranked Band 3 in Chambers within the Energy & Natural Resources: Power, Renewables & Alternative Energy practice area. Within Legal 500, she is a leading associate in both Energy (excluding oil and gas) and Banking and Finance.
