Nicky has over 20 years’ experience providing real estate legal advice to the clean energy market having worked on some of Scotland’s first commercial windfarms and developing a practice which sees her acknowledged as an expert in her field. She has worked on onshore wind, hydro, solar and energy from waste projects, helping clients to deliver successful developments from first concept and throughout the entire life cycle.

Her work for developers from small independents to utilities has helped to deliver successful projects the length and breadth of Scotland whilst her extensive experience advising landowners brings a balanced commercial and pragmatic approach to her advice. Nicky has also advised funders and investors in onshore projects, in particular carrying out real estate due diligence on financing and acquisition of renewables developments.

In addition to her experience in green energy, Nicky has a particular specialism in dealing with complex and bespoke real estate legal matters particularly those affecting estates and rural properties.
