Kayla is a newly qualified solicitor acting across both our Banking & Finance and Funds practices. She is experienced in a variety of different private investment funds areas, including fund formation, structuring, and secondary transactions.
 
On the banking side, Kayla has experience in advising on acquisition finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, and re-financing transactions. Kayla acts on both lender side, advising banks, private lenders and sponsors, as well as borrowers. Kayla also advises on a wide range of fund finance transactions from a Scots law perspective.
 
Kayla trained at the firm during which she undertook a secondment at Aberdeen in the investment funds legal team. During this time, she worked with various regulated retail and listed fund ranges across the UK, Ireland, Luxembourg and Asia. Bringing her experience back to Burness Paull, she advises on a wide variety of private investment fund matters.
 
As a personable and driven individual, Kayla thrives on building relationships with clients, and delivering an exceptional service while doing so.
