Claire is a Director who works as a professional support lawyer for our employment team and the wider firm. Claire is an experienced employment lawyer who has worked in-house and in private practice advising clients on all aspects of employment law. She has expertise in resolving sensitive and high profile disputes for employers and advising on complex projects involving restructuring, redundancy, outsourcing and TUPE. Skilled in the conduct of employment tribunal litigation, Claire has acted for clients in employment tribunals across the UK. Claire also has previous first-hand experience of the legislative and consultation process whilst working for a member of a Joint Committee in the House of Lords, Westminster.

In her role as professional support lawyer to the Employment team, Claire is responsible for the knowledge management of the team including legal training for our lawyers, developing and maintaining precedent documentation and improving efficiency, including the use of technology to harness the benefits for our clients. Claire ensures our advice is continually updated to reflect regular changes to the law and current HR and industry practice. Claire also undertakes legal training for clients and is involved in the production of our client products, blogs and articles.

Claire also has a keen interest in constitutional law and the wider geopolitical issues affecting our clients, such as devolution and Brexit, and is a member of the firm’s core Brexit committee.
