Claire is a senior associate in our Private Client team. She is experienced in succession planning, creating and managing trusts, drafting Wills, advising on incapacity matters and managing the administration of estates.
Claire has a first hand understanding of the unique and complex nature of succession planning in farming families, being from one herself. She adds to that valuable insight gained from her previous experience of working as part of a rural property team too.
Claire is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners having completed her Diploma (with Distinction) in 2023. As part of her Diploma she was awarded the STEP Excellence Award in 2022 for the Advanced Certificate in Trusts: Law and Practice (Scotland).
Claire has an excellent grasp of complex tax matters and has given great support on our family succession planning which involves Trusts and several different asset classes. She is always on top of the detail, bringing a positive can-do approach and is a trusted advisor to my family.
