Alasdair is a corporate partner in our energy team with significant expertise in domestic and international M&A transactions. He advises both business and investor clients and regularly manages multi-jurisdictional teams to provide clients with a seamless legal service.

Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Insolvency Law, Alasdair has extensive experience in advising on turnaround, restructuring and corporate insolvency issues, including acting for insolvency practitioners and providing insolvency advice to lenders and directors.

Alasdair is also recognised for his expertise in IT transactions and is a longstanding adviser of the Incremental Group who were awarded “Acquisitive Company of the Year” at the Business Insider Deals and Dealmakers awards 2021.

Recent deals include acting for ChampionX Corporation on its acquisition of RMS Pumptools from James Fisher and Sons plc, for the management team of ASCO in relation to the sale of the ASCO group to the private equity firm Endless, for Baker Hughes on the sale of its Montrose machining facility to AME International, and Sword UK in relation to the acquisition of IACS Consulting.
