The Burness Paull Foundation supports a summer of fundraising

The Burness Paull Foundation has supported a wide range of charitable activity over the summer, helping colleagues across the firm who have been raising money for causes that matter to them and bringing people together through firmwide initiatives.

The Foundation sponsored colleagues taking part in a variety of charity events for organisations including Friends of Roxburgh, Crossbasket House, the Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre, Breast Cancer Research, CFINE, the Mental Health Foundation, Men in Need Together, Maggie’s and Breast Cancer Now.

Alongside individual fundraising achievements, colleagues supported a number of activities organised by the Foundation trustees during the summer months.

These included our annual school uniform appeal, with donations of clothing and funds made to AberNecessities, Babes in the Wood Glasgow and School Bank West Lothian to help families prepare for the new school year.

The Foundation also supported Children’s Hospices Across Scotland with our “Make Your Mark” initiative, while DAWGS benefited from a World Dog Day celebration that saw pet photos and videos shared across the firm. Maggie’s was supported through Scotties in the City, its public art trail across Glasgow, with a Foundation donation made for everyone who took part in spotting the colourful Scottie sculptures.

To mark the World Cup, colleagues also took part in sweepstakes and wore international football colours in support of the firm’s longstanding partner Street Soccer. Endometriosis UK was also supported through a programme of activity including an informative webinar, bake sale and walk.

In total, the Foundation provided more than £8,000 in charitable support over the summer.

It is fantastic to see the enthusiasm and commitment of colleagues to support amazing causes that do such good work in our communities. The trustees have already started planning activities for the next few months with much more to come.”
