Before the Placement?
The process of applying was straightforward and enjoyable. The graduate recruitment team kept in touch every step of the way – you never felt out of the loop. The best advice here is to embrace the process and let your authentic self shine through! Being offered a place on the vacation scheme is exciting, but nerves come with it too! However, there is nothing to be worried about. Burness Paull is an extremely friendly firm with a focus on people as well as results.
On the Placement
The placement began with a day of introduction. From meeting trainees to learning about Burness Paull, the first day is nothing to be worried about. A major thing to note is that everything is much more relaxed than you might think. Feel free to dress smart, but there is no need to come in a suit! The rest of the placement was spent in two divisions of the firm. You get the chance to understand the work that is done on a day-to-day basis by joining in. Once again, everyone is friendly and wants you to be yourself. Try hard, ask questions, and let your ability shine through!
Afterwards
Once the placement is done, depending on which intake you are in, there is a short wait before you hear about offers. There is nothing to worry about here and the graduate recruitment team is always happy to answer any questions you have. Enjoy your time at the firm and you are bound to do well!
