Peter is a partner in our Corporate team with a particular focus on energy transactions and regulatory matters. His in-depth knowledge and experience of the renewable energy industry in the UK gives him a great advantage which he uses to his clients’ benefit when providing focused and commercial advice on energy related issues.
Peter has considerable experience as a lawyer advising a host of clients across a broad range of energy matters. This includes the provision of advice to developers, banks, power generators, off-takers, investment funds and utilities in respect of the financing, procurement and construction of energy projects, grid connection and regulatory issues, joint ventures and power purchase agreements.
He has particular expertise with respect to regulatory matters, specifically in relation to the grid connection arrangements and framework for the connection of projects to the transmission and distribution systems in the UK. Peter has advised and provides ongoing assistance to a significant number of clients in relation to grid connection arrangements for their energy projects.
He's a very technically capable lawyer and understands his area very well. Peter is viewed as the go-to person on something everyone acknowledges is difficult.
