Lynne is a partner in our Dispute Resolution division specialising in corporate crime, most notably health and safety and corruption.

She handles contentious and non-contentious regulatory compliance issues, helping clients every step of the way through to representation in legal proceedings including Fatal Accident Inquiries and defending regulatory prosecutions. Lynne has considerable experience in managing internal investigations for clients as well as advising on external investigations by the Police, HSE, SEPA and other regulators, giving clear, commercial advice on often business critical matters. Based in Aberdeen, she has particular experience in complex oil and gas cases including major gas releases and fatalities. She also supports cross border investigations for international clients, advising on compliance with and operation of specialist regulatory regimes in Scotland and criminal enforcement.

Lynne is one of the leaders of our Crisis Response team, managing specialist lawyers in each of our offices across Scotland to support clients emergent needs whether that be a Dawn Raid or visit from another specialist regulator. She is responsible for developing our unique training packages and regularly delivers bespoke compliance and leadership training for clients as well as speaking at industry events and lecturing on health and safety on issues including Offshore Safety and Fire Safety and Responsibility in Scotland. Lynne is able to draw on her significant experience advising those in the offshore oil and gas industry and clients come from all sectors including food and drink, the third sector, construction and energy. She is also a member of the firm’s Building Safety Group.

Lynne is a member of HSLA, UKELA, and Fraud Advisory Panel.

She is great at dealing with urgent, commercially sensitive matters and providing quick and commercial advice.
