Gavin operates in the construction & engineering, projects, process plant and outsourcing sectors. He provides advice on procurement strategy (including EU procurement issues), risk assessment/allocation, the drafting and negotiation of contract documentation and contract implementation issues. Projects have involved many different models such as traditional, design and build, PFI, PPP, NPD, hybrid, hub and LIFT procurement models using the open, restricted, negotiated, and competitive dialogue procedures.
He is committed to developing long-term relationships with his clients and a detailed understanding of their objectives and attitude to risk.
He also lectures in the construction law masters course at the University of Strathclyde.
