Alan is a leading banking lawyer with deep experience in a broad range of finance transactions.

Having started his career specialising in projects and project finance, he has developed specific and extensive expertise acting for borrowers and lenders in corporate and leveraged finance and in real estate finance (both investment and development).

As well as acting for lenders and borrowers using traditional finance structures, Alan has acted for banks and borrowers in relation to transactions involving various types of asset-based lending, securitisation and derivatives.

He has also advised buyers and sellers on debt sale transactions in both the distressed and non-distressed spaces, and overseen mortgage book sale transactions in relation to portfolios of lifetime mortgages.
