Last week, Scotland should have been welcoming over 30,000 people from across the world to Glasgow to attend the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties - also known as COP26.
The forum is a platform for world leaders, climate experts, the business community and society to come together and commit to how the world will take action in tackling climate change.
However, as 2020 has presented a new global emergency with the Coronavirus pandemic, COP26 became another casualty and has been postponed until November 2021.
Recognising the need to keep the energy transition debate going Energy Voice, the leading news and opinion outlet in the energy sector, launched the Energy Transition Idea Exchange (ETIDEX), a free virtual event taking place on 19 November, on what should have been the penultimate day of COP26.
ETIDEX will bring together key stakeholders from across the energy sector in four panel sessions to engage in live discussions on the energy transition, to exchange ideas on what the future of energy might look like, and consider how we can move forward on our journey to net zero.
We are proud to be a principal sponsor of ETIDEX and to be taking part in the opening Energy Transition Forum and the panel discussion on Renewables and Transition Infrastructure.
We’re looking forward to engaging with fellow panellists and the audience and hope you will be able to join us too.
ETIDEX is free to attend and you can register here.
If you can’t join us at ETIDEX but you would like to get involved in the energy transition conversation, please get in touch.
