Mike Guthrie

Mike is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate team in Edinburgh. He has experience dealing with a wide range of real estate matters with a particular focus on residential development work. Mike has a dual role within the housebuilding team. He advises on the commercial aspects of site acquisition and site set up and managing a team of paralegals who are responsible for selling individual new build properties for a number of active housebuilders across Scotland.
Mike also focuses on residential development and has gained extensive knowledge in this field. Mike deals with all aspects of residential development work including: acquisitions, sales to housing associations, funding and site set up. He also has particular experience in relation to the drafting of deeds of conditions.
Mike’s role requires him to be involved with a residential development from acquisition all the way through to the sale of the last property. Mike therefore brings a holistic approach to every aspect of this work having a thorough understanding of each step within the process together with an appreciation of how all of the steps contribute to the bigger picture.
