Murray is a Partner in our Technology and Commercial team.

He advises clients on a wide variety of commercial and consumer contracts, including large scale IT outsourcings, digital transformations, SaaS, and software licensing agreements, often involving data protection and intellectual property.

Having previously worked in-house in the energy and financial services sectors, Murray has an excellent understanding of combining legal advice with the commercial needs of his clients.

Murray is known for delivering pragmatic advice, and has been recognised as a “Key Lawyer” and a “Leading Individual” by Legal 500, with clients commenting that he is “...skilled at reducing the complexities to those key issues with the biggest risk/value for his clients”.

Murray is a board member at the Scottish Society of Computers and Law, and works with colleagues at SSCL to promote best practice, thought leadership, and educate on the impact of IT on law and legal practice.
