Able to turn his hand effectively to a variety of different sectors and workstreams. This varied experience brings keen focus on key commercial considerations and an adaptability to tailor advice and communication for each client’s needs. 

Recent work highlights include:

  • the corporate reorganisation and refinance of a major Scottish logistics and construction business;
  • financing the acquisition of a successful energy transition business; and
  • advising an institutional investor on its participation in a Bulgarian debt fund. 

James brings a good-humoured and positive approach to all transactions that ensures all participants have a shared feeling of success. James is able to pitch advice effectively and clients can rely on him being unflappable under pressure.
