Brian is a legal consultant in our oil & gas team with over 25 years’ experience working as a lawyer in the upstream oil & gas sector, including 18 years spent in in-house roles with Elf Exploration, Conoco, Kerr-McGee and Maersk Oil.

He is a qualified solicitor experienced in the management of the Legal, Commercial, Contracts and Business Relations functions. Having served as Company Secretary, he is well experienced in the proceedings of Boards of Directors. He was also a Chairman of the Oil & Gas UK Legal Sub-Committee between 2007 and 2009, during the time when many of the UK industry model form agreements were published.

Brian’s experience ensures that he is well-placed for understanding the needs of oil and gas businesses and able to appreciate legal requirements from the clients’ perspective.

Brian is a hands-on technical lawyer and a good, safe pair of hands.
