Burness Paull has been named corporate law firm of the year at the inaugural Scotland Dealmakers Awards 2024.
The awards, hosted by Insider Media in partnership with The Scotsman, recognise the achievements of those who work to construct the deals that drive the Scottish business community forward.
The Scotland Dealmakers Awards is part of Insider Media’s UK Dealmakers series, meaning Burness Paull will now go forward to compete against peers from England, Wales and Northern Ireland at the UK Dealmaker Awards in February 2025.
Paul Scullion, head of corporate finance at Burness Paull, said: “We’re grateful to Insider Media and The Scotsman for hosting the awards, and honoured to be named corporate law firm of the year.
“This award is testament not only to the unrivalled strength and depth of our corporate M&A team, but the expertise and hard work of everyone right across our firm.
“Our status as an independent, full-service firm is key to our offering. This allows us to be agile in support of our clients, bringing in specialist knowledge from across the firm in areas such as banking and finance, funds, pensions, tax and employment, to ensure meaningful, joined-up advice and deliver the very best client outcomes.”
In addition to being named corporate law firm of the year, we were delighted to see a number of our clients and deals that we worked on recognised in both the nominations and the awards, including ASCO Group, Mi:RNA and Cyacomb.
