Emma is a senior associate in our Planning team, advising clients in both the public and private sectors. Her in-depth knowledge of planning authorities’ policies, personnel and procedures gives her a great advantage which she uses to her clients’ benefit when negotiating planning agreements and advising on planning strategies.

Emma has considerable experience advising developers and public bodies on the planning, compulsory purchase and environmental issues which arise in major developments. She deals with all aspects of the planning process from promoting development sites through the development plan process, advising on planning procedures and EIA requirements, submitting planning applications, negotiating planning agreements and handling planning appeals and inquiries.

She has particular expertise in the planning law and procedures relating to onshore wind farm developments, having advised developers and funders on a number of major projects.

Emma is attentive and has a sound understanding of the issues. Her commercial awareness enables confidence in the projects and strategies.
