A dynamic and driven associate in our banking team, Emma acts for financial institutions and corporate borrowers on a wide variety of banking and finance transactions. She excels at transaction management and regularly works on multi-jurisdictional deals. She is approachable and personable and uses her extensive negotiation skills to identify commercial solutions. Emma specialises in energy financings and also acts as Scots Counsel in securitisations.
Recent highlights include advising:
- A UK bank on reservation of their rights in a potential default situation.
- Serica plc, a UKCS oil and gas company, on a $525m RBL facility.
- A term lender on the Scots aspect of an acquisition financing package to fund the purchase of Ethos Energy, which included bespoke intercreditor arrangements.
- Sanctuary Group (providers of affordable housing) on Scots aspects of their bond financing.
- A major UK bank on amendments to their Scottish security templates in connection with their residential mortgage book.
