Alan is a Senior Associate based in our Edinburgh office, working jointly within the Housebuilding, Renewable Energy, and Agriculture and Rural Business teams.
Joining our team in January 2019 from a background in rural property, Alan now acts for landowners and developers in relation to all aspects of commercial and rural property transactions, including in particular; the acquisition and disposal of development sites and properties; development financing and general security work; the acquisition and disposal of farm and estate land and salmon fishings; and advising on agricultural tenancies and other rural matters. Alan also advises on general real estate matters including servitudes and title conditions.
Alan previously tutored a number of undergraduate courses including Land Law at the University of Aberdeen.
