The Government’s announcement about the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme on Friday evening came as welcome news for employers across the UK.

We await further guidance from the Government on the details of the scheme, conditions for eligibility and the procedure to follow with HMRC. However, in the meantime, we wanted to share a guidance note we have produced which captures what we do know at the moment, together with a list of outstanding questions. At this unsettling and challenging time for everyone, our firm is committed to doing what we can to pool knowledge and share best practice across our business and legal communities, so if you have any further questions we can add to the list or indeed if you would like any legal advice for your organisation, please get in touch with our team of experts.
