Lynda is a director who works as a knowledge and development lawyer for our Construction team and the wider firm. Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Construction Law, she has a wealth of experience having advised clients and lawyers in the construction sector for over 20 years. Lynda has a particular interest in new and complex areas of the law. She also advises on the impact of Brexit on commercial contracts, sitting on our Brexit Committee.
Described as “the crucial link” between legal knowledge and practice, with a “technical analysis which is second to none”, Lynda was shortlisted as a finalist for “Solicitor of the Year 2017” at the Law Awards of Scotland, having been nominated “for work in construction and engineering law, in particular the outstanding training provided to professionals and students”.
For the last 10 years, Lynda has also lectured on construction law at the University of Edinburgh where she is responsible for delivery of the Construction Law Elective. She is regularly invited to speak at events, where her style of delivery is described as “enthusiastic and extremely engaging”.
