Gemma is a partner in the banking and funds team. She advises banks, corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors and fund managers on a range of financing transactions, including real estate finance, acquisition financing, fund financing as well as working closely with leading City firms on the Sottish aspects of cross-jurisdictional lending transactions and securitisations.

Gemma also has significant experience in the hotel and hospitality sector. Notably, she has acted on the Yotel financing, the sale of Virgin hotel, Glasgow, and notes Macdonald Hotels as one of her key clients.

Gemma is a strong, personable and tenacious lawyer who knows how to get a deal done. She draws upon robust commercial experience, having worked as a structuring advisor at abrdn plc (where she provided strategic debt advice to the plc's investment teams) and having also spent time on secondment to The Royal Bank of Scotland plc's restructuring team.
