Burness Paull LLP appointed to Crown Commercial Service panel to provide full range of legal services to public sector bodies in Scotland.
Burness Paull LLP has been appointed to the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Legal Services Framework, following a competitive tender process that recognised the firm’s expertise advising the public sector and investment in its public sector teams.
Burness Paull is appointed to Lot 1b and 2b, the full service for Scotland section of the panel, for a four-year term. This allows a broad range of public- and third-sector organisations – including those involved in health, education, local and regional government, emergency services, third sector and social housing organisations – to call on Burness Paull’s deep legal expertise across a number of specialist areas.
CCS is the biggest public procurement organisation in the UK. The collective purchasing power of its customers, combined with CCS’ procurement knowledge, supports public- and third-sector organisations to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2021/22, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.08bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
Hazel Moffat, Partner and Head of Public Sector at Burness Paull, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by the CCS to its Scotland panel, which reflects our expertise in advising the public sector and the considerable investment we have made in growing and developing the team as we further enhance our ability to service client needs. We look forward to delivering our market-leading offering to an even greater number of public- and third-sector clients through the framework.”
