“The art of sailing is not in controlling the wind but in skilfully adjusting the sails to navigate through the storm”.
These were the opening remarks of a recent World Economic Forum/McKinsey report on Resilience. Since our last risk conference in autumn 2024, threats and uncertainties have continued to increase, and companies have experienced unprecedented volatility and risk requiring flexibility and change at all levels.
Technology, regulatory changes, changing market forces, and macroeconomic factors all present key concerns for business. The WEF report identifies crisis response, strategic reorientation, foresight and preparation as the critical skills and processes to enable an organisation to act effectively in the face of these and other risks.
To tackle these themes and explore what companies are doing to become more resilient, we have gathered a panel of business leaders from a range of industries and backgrounds. They will share invaluable insights designed for Board members, business leaders, internal legal counsel and senior compliance/risk on key priorities, and what they are doing – and seeing – to anticipate and prepare for risk.
Please join us to hear their thoughts, and contribute to the debate.
