We are part of a neurodiverse society, and neurodivergent workers bring many valuable strengths to the workplace. While many organisations want to attract and retain neurodivergent talent, they often struggle to know where to start.
In recognition of this, we are delighted to invite you to join us for a practical and engaging session on neurodiversity in the workplace, featuring guest speaker Sam Pringle, co-author of Neuroinclusion: A Guide for Managers and Leaders. The book is available here.
During this event we will cover:
- Employers’ obligations: Legal framework for employers around neurodiversity.
- The language of neuroinclusion: Clarifying key terms and what they mean in practice.
- What neurodivergence might look like at work: An overview of common neurodivergent conditions, including the strengths individuals may bring and the challenges they may experience in workplace environments.
- Top tips for neuroinclusive communication: Practical guidance on adopting a personalised approach, using plain language, and recognising different communication and information-processing preferences.
- Resources and support: We will also signpost useful resources, charities and support networks.
There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the session.
