Vincent is a director in our immigration division, working closely with Grace McGill and the rest of the team.

He has specialised in UK immigration and nationality law since qualifying as a Scottish solicitor in 2016 and also dual-qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2021.

Now based in Edinburgh, prior to joining Burness Paull in January 2022, Vincent worked in London for several years with a strong focus advising businesses on corporate immigration and immigration for High Net Worth individuals.

Vincent regularly works with HR staff and senior management to provide pragmatic immigration advice on the recruitment of foreign nationals, in various business sectors including in fashion, finance, property development, and hospitality. He provides strategic and robust advice on obtaining and maintaining a sponsor licence, as well as on right to work checks.

He also enjoys working with family offices, and entrepreneurs to provide a bespoke immigration solution to their individual and family needs. Vincent has a strong track record with both straightforward and complex visa and settlement applications, as well as naturalisation applications to become a British citizen.

He has been a member of the of the Immigration and Asylum Sub-Committee of the Law Society of Scotland since 2022.

Vincent previously worked for a former President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, and maintains strong connections with his former colleagues and contacts in the HKSAR. He is keen on providing assistance to Cantonese speakers.
