Lila Gailling
Knowledge & Development Lawyer

Lila has been the knowledge and development lawyer in our Funds practice since 2014. Her role is to provide expert technical legal knowledge and advice to the Funds team on new and complex areas of the law and commercial practice. She also manages the development of the group’s legal knowledge through a comprehensive programme of training for all lawyer levels.
Lila has extensive experience of Scottish limited partnerships and private fund limited partnerships, including the people with significant control (PSC) regime and the impact of Brexit on these areas. Her current interest involves electronic signatures under both Scots and English law and the use of e-signing platforms. Lila sits on the Law Society of Scotland’s working group on e-signatures, which recently published the industry’s guide to the use of electronic signatures.
Lila is qualified in English law, and has a background in finance law having worked as an associate in the general finance team at Clifford Chance LLP.
Lila is a member of the Funds Professional Support Lawyer network in London.
