Andrew Black
Senior Solicitor

Andrew is a senior solicitor in the Pensions team. He has experience advising both employers and trustees on pension issues, as well as acting for the firm’s independent trustee company – Burness Paull Pension Trustees Limited.
Andrew’s trustee experience includes the drafting of various scheme deeds and advising on issues such as discretionary benefits and scheme wind-ups, and experience with employers includes advising on scheme rules and UK pensions legislation.
Andrew also has in-house experience resulting from a two-month secondment to the legal team of a leading pension provider, providing advice in relation to pension scams, giving him a valuable insight into the commercial decision-making made by clients.
