Walter Clark
Partner
Walter is partner in the Corporate team at Burness Paull, which is ranked Band 1 in both Chambers UK and Legal 500. He advises on M&A, equity investments, joint ventures and corporate restructuring projects, as well as undertaking general corporate advisory work. He leads the firm’s company secretarial advice and is a fellowship member of ICSA (The Governance Institute).
Walter offers particular experience of M&A in the financial services sector. He has worked on secondment to Standard Life in the lead up to its demutualisation, with RBS in its M&A legal team and in the General Counsel's team at Aegon. He is identified as a:
"key name for financial services sector transactions".
As well as being a lawyer dual-qualified in Scots and English law, Walter has a degree in accounting and finance and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, the professional body for those in the financial services industry.
