Karen is situated within our Aberdeen office, and is a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal specialising in the area of company secretarial practice and work.
Karen’s career experience has included working at leading law firms and in-house with a global oil and gas production company. Karen possesses an in-depth understanding of the legal and corporate requirements of company secretary protocols, practices and procedures, legal compliance and company legislation.
Within the team at Burness Paull, Karen’s duties include advising Scottish and UK registered companies the Aberdeen office acts for in respect of their statutory obligations under the Companies Act 2006 and associated legislation, including but not limited to assistance with company and corporate guidelines, drafting and producing documents for statutory filing with Companies House, recording and holding company information with company books, ensuring accuracy and maintenance of company statutory registers and updating electronic company books held. Karen also provides clients with advice and guidance in respect of company incorporations and company matters, liaises with Companies House and works alongside colleagues in transactional matters within the corporate and commercial divisions.
