Annual Employment Law Seminar
2 November 2020
1.30pm - 3.30pm
Please note - This event is now fully booked.
For us employment law is elementary, it’s our chemistry with clients that defines us.
Our much anticipated annual employment law seminar will take place via Webex Video Conference on Monday 2 November 2020. We invite you to join the Burness Paull employment team who are once again supported by the illustrious Sean Jones QC, at an afternoon session from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Sean will deliver a case law refresher and update on the highly relevant topic of redundancy.
We will also be joined by Elaine dela Cruz and Gary Rayneau from Project 23, a consultancy which helps organisations build diverse and inclusive cultures. Over recent months, HR have been challenged and tested like never before - through a new, more considered Covid lens, organisations felt the much-needed ripple effect of Black Lives Matter 2020 presenting an iceberg of issues surrounding race, racism, and anti-racism. Organisations, particularly the leadership within them, are accountable for creating an anti-racist organisation. Having said that, the role of HR and all those concerned with employee experience and wellbeing is clearly vital in positive progression. Introduced by David Morgan, Partner in the Burness Paull employment team, Elaine and Gary will lead a discursive panel session with Tacita Small of The Small HR Company, exploring the key themes around anti-racism at work and share practical ways that develop new, best practice for HR leaders and managers.
A must-attend for HR professionals, in-house solicitors, and business leaders with responsibility for - and interest in – people issues. Get your hard-law fix with compelling content that confronts employment law challenges head-on.
