Burness Paull Foundation Supports Employees' Charitable Efforts by Donating £20,000 to Good Causes

The Burness Paull Foundation, the charitable trust of Burness Paull, has donated more than £20,000 to charities and causes chosen by its employees in its first 12 months.

Fully funded by Burness Paull and governed by 10 trustees, the Foundation was established to support the charitable fundraising efforts of the employees, as well as the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the firm.

Launched with a firm-wide bake-off competition, more than 200 individuals ran, walked, cycled, baked, danced and gave their time and commitment to support 32 charities and causes. Other activities included a ‘Dine@Mine’ initiative, which involved hosting fundraising dinner parties for colleagues, and an inter-office Cycle to Rio.

Lindsay Wallace, CSR director for Burness Paull and Foundation chair said: “We are incredibly proud of what the Foundation has achieved in its first year. It has been embraced by everyone in the firm. We have seen some incredible feats of endurance as well as some very creative fundraising ideas and initiatives. Most importantly, whether through time or donations, we have been able to give back to the charities and causes close to our hearts.

“As we head towards the festive period, we have just launched our annual Christmas appeals. This year we have chosen to support local homeless charities in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.”
