Visa Payments Outage: Abandoned Shopping Baskets And Cash Only Signs

On Friday 1 June Visa reported that a hardware issue had caused a payments systems problem throughout Europe. Visa subsequently reported that the issue had been substantially fixed within approximately five hours.  However Visa acknowledged:

“Our goal is to ensure all visa payments work reliably 24 hours a day, 365 days a year”.

“We fell well short of this goal today and we apologise to all of our partners and the visa account holders for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Selling Scotland in China - From Past to Present

The launch of the “Scotland is Now” campaign last month in Beijing and Shanghai by the First Minister was a dynamic and inspiring backdrop to the country’s latest trade mission, and one which was well received.

At the recent Annual Homes for Scotland Lunch and Awards, of which we were once again proud main sponsors, Ken Gillespie, the new Chair of Homes for Scotland highlighted the success and progress of the housebuilding industry in providing high quality homes and the role those homes have in supporting families, jobs and the health, wellbeing and education of the population.
