The Forgotten Land: Use It Or Lose It?

Every day on my way to work, I pass a bare and neglected plot of suburban land. The plot is unremarkable in almost every way but for one feature.  It has a sign bearing the name of a local house-builder. In 15 years, there has been no change.

I am curious. Does the house-builder own the plot?  Why has it remained vacant and neglected? What do the people living in the houses close by think? 

Developers often hold land until circumstances improve or opportunities arise.

The Secret To Success: Protecting Your Trade Secrets

What the frack? When is a ban a ban?

It appears I spoke too soon in my October 2017 blog on the announcement by the Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy that the Scottish Government’s moratorium on unconventional oil and gas development (“UOGD”) (usually referred to as ‘fracking’) which was imposed in 2015 would be extended into a permanent ban.
