Knock Knock, It's The Home Office

In the business immigration team we have noticed an increasing trend for the Home Office to make unannounced visits to licensed sponsors. As sponsors will know, the Home Office can make site visits to audit their compliance with their sponsor obligations and ensure the HR systems in place are fit for purpose. In the past, the Home Office would usually warn you in advance of such a visit, arriving unannounced only in exceptional cases. However, going forward, it looks like increasingly such visits will be unannounced.

Breaking News: UNISON’s Challenge to Employment Tribunal Fees Unsuccessful
