Arctic Winds Bring Plenty Of Cheer At Turbine Open Day

Last week I attended an open day showcasing a single-turbine wind project development on farmland at Dykehead, near Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire.  The development was constructed and is operated by our clients, Pure Renewable Energy Limited, this being their first completed project  north of the border. It is always satisfying to see the end result of a project no matter what size and it was clear all parties involved are delighted with the outcome of everyone’s hard work.

Whilst there was no shortage of liquid at MIPIM this year there certainly was a liquidity problem in the opinion of most investors, developers and property professionals who made the annual trek to the renowned property conference.  Other than for a select band dealing with (and only with) prime London property, the general view on the prospects for property finance was at best one of relief that the funding landscape was not as bad as it might have been.
