Suited, Booted And Ready To Go

Suited, Booted And Ready To Go

Suited and booted but not as you may think! As a health and safety lawyer I have learnt to be prepared for whatever comes across my path on any given day. The offshore industry presents those who work in it with its own unique experiences and challenges. For this reason on a sunny Friday morning in May, I found myself counting to seven while being suspended upside down, underwater and strapped into a helicopter seat. I can’t deny that this was a refreshing change from my ‘desk job’ but, while I relish the opportunity to experience new things, this was an experience that I am not in a hurry to repeat. It certainly served as a stark reminder about why I do the job that I do.

Emergency response is vital in the offshore industry. With four of our team having now completed the BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training), the Burness Paull HSE division are suited and booted, ready to mobilise at a moment’s notice to provide on-the-scene offshore assistance. Whether we are needed to assist with incident response or to provide support during investigations, we are ready. For more information about the offshore assistance we can provide, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any member of our team.
