Construction & Engineering

Construction & Engineering

Fenella Mason, Construction & Engineering
Chambers UK describes us as a “fantastic construction team” offering “high-calibre advice.” With one of the largest construction law teams in Scotland, we offer a truly integrated construction & engineering service. And it’s this approach that sets us apart from the rest. In a challenging market, the landscape in the construction world has changed.

We are at the forefront of these developments, in particular through our appointments relating to the new hub model, advising on the delivery of NHS community health and local authority projects.

We provided advice to the 10 public sector participants of the South East Territory hub and are advising private sector partner Wellspring on £250M of DBFM projects in relation to the West Territory hub.

We are also advisors on major infrastructure projects such as the M8 motorway, Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

We have proactively project managed disputes over some of Scotland‘s biggest and most iconic  infrastructure assets including railways, roads, bridges, pipelines, harbours, runways, wind farms, water treatment works, hospitals and schools, as well as commercial and residential developments, using all forms of dispute resolution including adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation.

Regularly advising on standard and bespoke forms of construction & engineering contracts, design team appointments, framework contracts and procurement strategy means we are in touch with the current demands of the market, working with a range of clients including developers such as Mountgrange, Miller and Grosvenor, contractors such as Graham Construction, Interserve, Kier Construction, Morrison Construction, and public sector bodies such as Scottish Futures Trust and Scottish Enterprise.
